Three Ways to Stand Up for Science
Last Saturday’s March for Science was truly inspirational.
Whether you were able to march or not, it was clear: from Boston to Auckland, Medellín to Cape Town, we saw the power of science to unite us all.
Hopefully you’re asking yourself, what can I do next?
Here are 3 suggestions for ways you can continue the momentum and stand up for science.
1. Donate to support scientists around the world
You know that bolstering the research of scientists in developing countries has proven benefits for the United States. Research on emerging diseases strengthens public health across the globe and saves American lives. All boats are lifted by a rising tide of improved economies and a more educated workforce.
Right now, your support of Seeding Labs is more important than ever. Please consider supporting global scientists with a donation today!
2. Share our Instrumental Access request for applications
Our Instrumental Access program is all about getting scientific tools to the corners of the world where they’re needed the most. And the 2017 Instrumental Access application is now open! Universities and research institutes in low- and middle-income countries who need equipment for teaching and research are invited to apply.
Help us find the next group of Instrumental Access awardees by sharing the Instrumental Access application.
3. Donate surplus equipment
Surplus equipment might be cycling out of your lab, replaced by newer models. It might be overstock in your warehouse. It might be a trade-in from your customers who are upgrading. Whether it’s coordinating a donation at your company or sharing Seeding Labs with a friend in the research field, you can impact science around the world.
Find out more about donating equipment on our website here or by contacting Robert Lillianfield, our Director of Corporate Relations, by email or at 617-500-3014 x9.
